  • 1st-level necromancy
  • Casting time: 1 Action
  • Range: 600 feet
  • Components: V
  • Time: Concentration up to 1 Minute
  • Higher Levels: You can target an additional creature to each of the spell slots above. When you aim for them, they must all be at least 30 feet from each other. This is pretty basic stuff.
  • School: Creemancy

Cast time is standard for one-action spells, and they can reach a distance of 60 feet. At the end of each turn, the target makes a saving throw. It is very simple to use the components, and it is also extremely useful for necromancy schools. The spell has many uses. We’ll take a closer look at this description.

Description

It is possible to awaken the feeling of mortality in a creature, and you may be able to see beyond a certain range. This effect is not applicable to undead or constructs. The target must succeed on the wisdom saving throw, or it will become afraid of you until the end. The frightened target is able to make a save throw again at the end of each turn, and can also stop the effects from occurring on its own on specific successes.

Higher levels

Casting this spell using the 2nd or higher level spell slot will allow you to target an additional creature for every level beyond the 1. The creatures you aim for must not be more than 30 feet from each other.

This is very cool. I’m going to try and write the description of the frightening condition.

Description

Frightened creatures have disadvantages on attack rolls and ability checks, even though the fear source is in its immediate vicinity. It can’t move any closer to its source of fear. This is very interesting. Let’s now take a closer look at the alternative uses.

Other uses

This spell can be used for many purposes beyond its original combat practice. I like the idea of using this spell as an interrogation tool. You can make the target fearful and they will likely give you information that is not available to them otherwise. You could use the device to throw people off their feet during group events, competitions, or other important saves. This would be a great idea, especially considering the component are verbal. You could cast subtle spells or use subtle spells with them to make the target unknowingly afraid of you. It would also throw off their concentration.

This is something I love, it’s really great. This can be used to protect your soft characters against melee damage. It’s a great idea.

Spells : Warlock.

Conclusion: Fear is Looking through this list we see that Fear is the only spell (in levels 1 to 5) that only allows one save and lets you still wail away on the target. It’s versatile in that it allows no extra advantage if used in combat, and it’s not limited to any class of creature.17-Nov-2015
