Description

Detect Poison and Disease 5E –

You can sense within 30 feet the exact location and the amount of poisonous animals and diseases. It is possible to identify the type of poison and poisonous creature as well as the disease in any of these cases.

This dnd5e spell is capable of breaking through most barriers. However, it was blocked by the common metal 1 foot in height, common metal with 1 inch of thickness, and a thin lead sheet or 3 feet of dirt.

This is some cool stuff. This spell is very useful, I want to emphasize that. This thing is amazing. I have probably looked at it over 100 times, but never really took the time to look. As mentioned in previous spells, targets must be visible. This doesn’t mean you can inherently see everything. Invisibility and such will not affect the target.

It’s also important to be able to identify the type of poisonous animal it is. This is especially useful if you are role-playing as a tracker and you know exactly where this is. This is a great tool that allows you to quickly react to changes and bring your party to the forefront. This is a hidden gem that we haven’t covered yet. I think it’s a great idea and something I would recommend to clerics. It gives them access to all the spells of the school, which is a huge plus. Let’s not get into too much detail.

Other uses

I can see this spell being used by any character who has a passion for medicine and science. You can take samples, write notes or do any other thing to find the most deadly poisons and be ready to use your weapon with them. This is amazing. You can use the money to help people, if your heart is a healer or doctor.

Combining them with the spell will make it super easy to identify the poison and disease. You’ll avoid many common pitfalls by being able diagnose evaporations immediately after casting this spell. This is even true if the spell hasn’t yet manifested fully in an actor or another like anthropy. I find this extremely useful, especially for campaigns set in burrowvia.
