DnD 5E Sheep Monster

All zoologists, of every size and shape! You are now in my spellbook. I am grateful that you clicked through to the 28th episode. We’ll be investigating another case. The sheep is a curious case. It’s found within the core ruleset. You can actually find it in the Storm King’s Thunder campaign. It looks very similar to the pig from the truss them. Although the sheep is classified as cr0, it is actually more of a background animal. It could be used by a farmer or the group to hunt for materials and food. Let’s now take a look at the stats to see if we can talk about it a bit more.

Stats

Although the sheep is small, it is not as well-aligned than most other beasts. He does have 10 AC, which puts him at the bottom end of AC. However, he does have three hit points which makes him superior to most beasts. This is done by rolling a dice d6. His speed is 30 feet, which makes him comparable to most medium-sized creatures.

  • Type: Small Beast Unaligned
  • AC: 10
  • HP: 3(1D6)
  • Speed: 30ft

You’ll see that he has a lot of dumbness. I also think his charm is too small for his cuteness. His charisma score is a mere minus 3, which to me just feels heartless. However, you are not well-known for accurately describing animals.

  • STR: 12(+1)
  • DEX: 10(+0)
  • CON: 11(+0)
  • INT: 2(-4)
  • WIS: 10(+0)
  • CHA: 5(-3)

His senses show that he has a passive perception level of 10, which is quite high compared to some of the other animals. He also has surefooted, which is identical to the goat. This gives them an advantage in strength and dexterity, which protects them from the knock that might make them prone. This is quite understandable.

These can be used as background characters in campaigns, but I think they are best left to the farmers. Perhaps a farmer could use them, or give them to your party as a reward. Or maybe they are part of a quest to take the group to Mark safely while bandits raid it. That would be cool. Maybe a neighbor farm could pay bandits to raid them.

Conclusion

Don’t forget that! Let me know what you think about using them in your games. I would be honored if you had any questions or comments. Those are my thoughts! I wish you a wonderful day, and I’m always glad to share my research with friends.

Faqs

Conclusion

the sheep is a small beast, but can be used by the group as food or materials to acquire. It has 3 hit points and 10 AC due to a d6 roll.
