Cast time is a bonus action that’s really great. It has a range of self and a duration time of 10 minutes. This spell is also a concentration spell. If you suffer damage while trying to focus on it, you must make a constitution saving roll. Also, you can’t concentrate on multiple spells at the same time. At a glance, the effect is identical to its bonus action. You must use one hand to make an incantation or gesture, and the school is unsurprisingly a transmutation. Let’s now take a closer look at what the components are to understand better.

Description

The Expeditious Retreat 5E Spell is able to let you move at an incredible speed. You can also take a sprint action after casting this spell.

This is some cool stuff. It’s basically a you get the same ability as rogues and allows you to cast spells which are really useful. You don’t become a rabbit. Let’s now look at other uses.

Other uses

The two I can think of are an alternate use and an application. So, the application one allows you to be quick enough to outrun enemies or catch them up. That’s amazing. Another option is to quickly map out a play area or dungeon and run as fast through it as possible. You can also use other spells, feats and abilities to avoid trap damage.

This feat would make a great Dungeon Delver. Combining dungeon delver with something like blade-ward or shield, in certain cases stack them. That would be awesome. Then you can clear a dungeon without worrying about any trap damage.

Spill Lists:Artificer. Sorcerer. Warlock. Wizard.

Conclusion

This being said, If you know of any other uses, or ways to increase the speed with which you use spells, or if it can be paired up with feats, spells, or combos that you like or any stories to share, please let us know. They are very enjoyable to read and I appreciate them greatly. We are grateful to you guys for your support and wish everyone a happy day.

Faqs

As goodguy5 points out in a comment on this answer, if you devoted your entire turn to Move (30ft), Dash as an Action (+30ft), and cast Expeditious Retreat as a Bonus Action (+30ft), you could move 90ft in a round. This would, of course, provoke an Opportunity Attack, though. Hope that helps!07-Apr-2019

Disengage is an action. Any character can use that actions. Some characters have abilities that allow them to use some things that are normally actions as bonus actions instead, but any character can use all the “default” actions unless otherwise specified. This includes NPCs and monsters.02-Oct-2016

Dash grants you additional movement equal to your current movement speed. The best way to think about Dash is not that you are moving faster, but that you are using your turn to focus on moving so you are able to move further. What Type of Action is Dash? Dash can be used as a regular action, bonus action, or reaction.
